Registration, Renewal and Donation
Why Become a Member
Since 2009, the Blue Sea Lake Watershed Association is committed to protecting and preserving the Blue Sea Lake and Blue Sea Stream watershed, an ecologically sensitive and endangered 80 km2 area within the municipalities of Messines and Blue Sea. Members of the Association contribute concretely to this important mission for the maintenance and improvement of the environment so dear to residents and vacationers, with the resulting beneficial impact on the economic development of the region.
The annual membership fee is $ 20 per person. It is valid for the calendar year in which the contribution is paid. Active members may participate in the activities of the Association, attend and vote at members' meetings, and are eligible as directors.
Whether you are a member or not, we will be grateful for any donation to the Association to help finance its activities and projects essential to the fulfillment of its mission.
Please note that since 2018, the Blue Sea Lake Watershed Association is a charitable organization recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Membership fees and donations received by the Association are thus subject to a tax credit; a receipt for income tax purposes will thus be provided for amounts of $ 20 or more.
To become a member of the Association, renew your membership or simply make a donation to the Association, download the registration/donation form opposite and save it to your computer. It is a PDF form that can be completed on-screen using Adobe Reader, version 7.05 or later*. Complete the form, establish the amount and save the file. Then simply send us a copy of the file when making your payment according to the chosen method of payment (post or Interac - see instructions below).
Please note that as part of the annual renewal campaign, active members who renew their membership should receive at the beginning of the year their personalized form already containing all the required information; it then suffices to return it with corrections if necessary and payment.
For both financial and ecological reasons, the Association wants to prioritize electronic communications with its members and interlocutors. In this regard, we would be grateful for you to provide us with a valid email address, to notify us of any changes and to favor online transactions.
Please also note that the CRA requires that the name and mailing address of the person making the payment appear on the official receipt. If you donate $ 20 or more, the receipt will be sent to you at the beginning of the calendar year following the date of donation.
You may send the completed form by mail to the following address, including your check or money order for the total amount payable to the Association:
Blue Sea Lake Watershed Association
70, rue Principale
Messines QC J0X 2J0
