Plan to come to the Association’s 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday morning, July 15th at the Church in Blue Sea. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. and will be over around noon.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for registration and membership renewal. The cost of a membership is $20 per person and is required to vote on resolutions or for elected positions.

The focus of this year’s meeting will be the new mandatory boat-washing program being implemented jointly by the Municipalities of Blue Sea and Messines. A mandatory boat-washing program to help prevent the importation of invasive aquatic species has been a priority of the Association for many years and much

The AGM is your best chance to learn about the health of our lakes and what your Association has been doing to preserve and protect them. It is also an opportunity for you to raise questions and voice your concerns regarding the state of the watershed. This feedback helps guide and inform the Association’s priorities and ensures that it remains true to its mission.

The AGM will conclude with elections to fill vacant positions on the Administrative Council.
Please note that article 17 of the General Rules of the Association indicate that “Anyone interested in exercising the function of an administrator can nominate his/herself. Anyone interested in exercising the function of an administrator but is not at the Annual General Meeting can present him/herself as a candidate by either providing his/her written consent or being nominated by an administrator to whom he/she has given his/her verbal consent.”
